Troubleshooting Sound

Greetings!

I just built a new box for my Sage and upgraded to the latest version from d/l (2.1), but seem to have a bit of a sound issue. It seems that the sound is about 1-5 milliseconds late, just enough that you see the person's lips move a split second before hearing their voice. It's not "really" bad, but is kind of annoying. I have played with the setting in Sage to delay the sound, but my issue seems to be that it is already delayed and needs to be "sped up" some.

What are some steps to troubleshoot this problem?

I am currently using an ATI 9800SE with DVI output to my TV and the m/b's onboard sound card. I also tried my PVR-350's video/audio outputs and the delay in there is even worse!
