Question re: resolution and overscan

Is there a minimum resolution that should be used when running Sage? I run my htpc at 640x480 (to a standard tv). I have no overscan issues in Windows or in Sage when navigating the menus, but the show info and search bar are always halfway offscreen when I watch recorded shows. I use the MPEG Max quality setting. Would this be an issue with my resolution?

I changed the aspect ratio to 4x3 and still have the same issue.

If the OSD/UI stuff is too big for your screen you can adjust them in Detailed Setup -> Multimedia via the Overscan option. If the actual video is too big, you can adjust that via the AR settings.

I think he means that the menu is properly sized & postitioned, but that the media playback OSD is not. I believe the Overscan modifies both the menu & the OSD displays. I found another thread where this was mentioned from a while back, but I don't think there was a solution. I don't know if it was the exact same problem, though: STV Status Bar way out of alignment on TV

Thanks for the link, Opus. It looks like I'll have to adjust the overscan and deal with it affecting the whole program. Not that big of a deal I guess.
