Help! Can't set recordings and old recording schedule doesn't go away.

Last night, I created a timed recording. It happened that I already had 4 things recording, so all 4 of my tuners were recording and the timed recording was to start while all 4 were still recording. Instead of the usual warning message telling me that there was a conflict, I got no message and the timed recording didn't show up in the recording schedule.

Since then, things that I've had set to record before creating the time recording are still recording okay, but I can't set any new recordings. When I try to set something in the guide, it doesn't show up in the recording schedule. Normally, shows disappear from the recording schedule after they're done, but since I created the timed recording, all the shows are staying in the recording schedule.

I tried updating the listings so that the configuration files would be overwritten (in case they were corrupt). That didn't work. I was hoping that it would fix itself, but it still hasn't after about 20 hours. I have not rebooted the computer. I'm trying to avoid doing that right now because I want to see if there's a way to fix this without doing that. I've had my system up 32 days now and I'd like to keep it up. It would be best if I could get this figured out for the future so I wouldn't have to reboot in case I happened to be recording something when the problem occurred.

Does anyone have any idea how to fix this? Any ideas to try? Has this ever happened to anyone else? Will it fix itself after a certain amount of time? It happened to me once or twice in Sage version 1. I was able to reboot and eventually got it fixed, but I think I might have had to reinstall Sage.
