Help with compression

I have searched for info on setting compression up and the more I read the more confused I seem to get.

I am using the CayarsV21E stv and I am wondering if someone could help me out in setting it up? I would really appreciate it.

Sorry, I've been meaning to reply here, but work has been very crazy.

Lets start at the begining - what format do you want to go to?

I'm in the same boat. Where can I find out what format options are even available? Thanks.

I would like to go Divx, but would try other formats if they are easier/more reliable.
And I (and I bet many others) would really appreciate the help...

Ok then. You could try picking up where I left off from these two posts:

http://sage.tv/forums/showpost.php?p...&postcount=149

I'm still using dubman for my script, but another user, Broca, got Virtual dub to work straight through the command line, without dubman.

I haven't been able to get that part to work though. So if you give it a try, let me know via PM.

Sorry I can't be more detailed right now. Deadlines suck.
