Attention !!! PVR-350 Free Motherboard

Follow this link to get a free motherboard after rebates. NOTE! This MB has the same chipset that Mike Janer has been using with great success with his PVR-350. I just got mine on Friday and it has been running solid for over 24 hours now. With my Intel 845 based board, I could not keep OSD running for more than 5 minutes at a time.

It was a SOYO motherboard. I believe the exact model number was SY-P4RC350. I am at work right now so I cannot verify. It was a P4 MB based on the ATI 9100 chipset.

I tried purchasing this one, but I keep getting an error that either the product is sold-out, or my browser had problems accepting the cookies. Too bad, looked like a good deal.

Just wanted to say thanks to ckron.

I picked one of these up late Sunday evening after reading your post. It's already been shipped and according to Fedex tracking will be here Wed. I love NewEGG's service. I'm still not sure whether to keep it as a spare MB or invest in a CPU and mini ATX case(I think I have all the rest of the parts) and build an ultra small HTPC box. Oh well, it will all work itself out eventually. For just $5 dollars after shipping and tax you can't beat the price. It was such a no brainer even my wife said do it and see thinks I already have too much comp. stuff.

PS:I too can no longer find the deal on NewEgg's site. I'm guessing they are out of stock, like suggested above or... they pulled the deal since it is only valid on purchases up til the 16th and, more importantly, the rebates MUST be postmarked by the 23rd. Since the rebates require the UPC(original for on and a copy for the other) maybe Newegg is worried about someone buying and not getting the package in time to send in the rebates by the time required. I'm sure they don't want a lot of people mad over having a $90 purchase that they planned on getting for free. Just speculation.

I picked one up too - actually got it up and running last night. Sorry to those that missed it - I'm building a full system with almost entirely rebate parts. A few weeks ago there was a great soyo MB on newegg, free after rebate. It sold out before I got it.

Then they listed the one mentioned above. (I put a tip up in one of the threads here) and it continued to be available for about two weeks on newegg. I would imagine that a new deal will come by in a few more weeks.
