Sound Issue with 2.1 in PAL-Land
i am not able to go to the 2.1 (but would like to) because of sound and liveTV issues. sound is heavily distorted and liveTV stutters a little bit with 2.1 on a PVR-USB2. Do definitely not have these issues with 2.0.20. But what i do have, after a fresh install of 2.0.20 (de-installing 2.1 before) i have the same issues before rebooting. After a reboot everything is ok with the 2.0.20.
Any Help would be highly welcome, though this drive me nuts. regards hoep |

Well now that I tried the registry mod for the audio bit, it seems that it is not enough to solve the issue. So back in the waiting game.

i would not expect, that this reghack would solve my problem (after reading a little bit in other forums). i still think, that there might be an issue, when adressing the drivers, since after reinstalling 2.0.20 this phenomena lasts until a reboot. Maybe Jeff can look at this, since there seem to be more complaints in another thread.
Would like to go to 2.1 because of various resons. |

I had the same thing when I installed my Sigma Designs decoder card.
My solution was to turn every audio-codec in windows off : Config Panel (or however they call it in English) => Audio settings & hardware => Hardware => Audio Codecs => Properties => Properties => *Select desired AudioCodec* => Properties => Don't use this audiocodec And then for each of them. Then go into Sage: Audio renderer : default Audio codec: default Dunno if this will help you, but it did the trick for me. |

Cayars Hint with installing 2.1.9RC6 did the trick for me also. No distorted sound anymore, everything works fine. Obviously it not works with 2.10.
