Missing Recordings and Resetting STV

I recently upgraded to 2.1 and I've had two problems. I'm running the
SageTV service and using Cayars STV. Twice I've started SageTV and its
started with a blank Upcoming Recordings schedule, even though favorites
that are on in a half hour are shown correctly in the program guide. This
has resulted in it missing recordings of several favorites. Tonight this
happened, I attempted to view Live TV, and after blanking for a while it
said something like "the connection to the SageTV service has been lost,
will reconnect when the service restarts". Then the service restarted and
the Upcoming Recording schedule was corrected.

Second, I've started SageTV several times and it has reverted back to the
OriginalV2 STV even though I had been using Cayars. Then I had to reload
Cayars (through the Setup menu) and redo all of my settings. This has
happened across reboots and simply when closing and restarting SageTV.

Any thoughts on these two problems? Thanks in advance!

Welcome to 2.1

There are a few problems in the service that affect some people. It looks like you are one of them. Put in a bug report and stop using it as a service for now and the problem will go away.

The service doesn't appear to save the properties file correctly so you loose you settings.

just do this close SageTV from the taskbar and then disable the service and the settings will save
the settings are being lost when rebooting or doing other things
