Can't set IR timing

Everything is working great with one problem - I am unable to change the timing of the IR.

The default 600 ms/1000 ms needs to be updated to work with my Dish Network receiver, but when I change the values they do not change. Have tried closing the app, rebooting the computer, etc. and it does not change - every time I bring it up, it still says 600/1000.

Anyone have a clue?

Does it show the changed values immediately after you enter new numbers? If not, how are you closing the pop-up dialog asking you to input the new values? Do you press Return?

Yep. I have tried Return, hitting the back button on the remote, and Home on the keyboard. It all stayed the same.

I did find the problem though - somehow I lost permission to write to the DishNetworkxxx.ir files. I found that the numbers are stored in them. Edited them with a text editor and all works now.

However, I notice that the numbers do not change in Sage. They stay what they were until I restart the app - then they change.

I guess I should have mentioned that thought I had. But to continue with this: was it a file system permission setting that you changed, or do you mean that SageTV just wasn't able to write for some unknown reason?

Those settings, like most settings, probably are only read when SageTV starts. Similarly, if you ever edit the properties file, you have to exit SageTV completely or else your changes will not only be ignored, they will be overwritten the next time SageTV saves its properties settings.
