customize recording locations?

Anybody know if there is a way or customization to allow for us to specify the recording location on a per favorite basis?

Example:
CSI = record to F:\videos\CSI
Smallville = F:\videos\smallville
Spongebob = G:\kids\spongebob

I know it would be easy to just move them but I want to keep all the recording info as well.

This is an often requested feature that is not part of the core program. I have no idea whether a custom STV could achieve the desired result... but I'm not about to say it isn't possible!

A future version of the SageAlert plugin might just be able to make this kind of task easier. However, it won't be as customizable as the SJQ way of doing it. But if you simply want to move a recording to a different directory after it's done recording then SageAlert should be able to assist with this task. You will have to provide a batch file or some kind of script to do the actual move (along with all the logic deciding if any specific recording should actually be moved), but SageAlert will be able to detect the end of a recording and trigger your script for you.

Not sure when this version will be ready, but I'm aiming for the end of Sep (for an initial, usable version of this feature - it will probably need a few iterations to work out the kinks, etc.).

If you have any more questions, head on over the SageAlert support thread because I'm not subscribed to this thread and will probably miss any further replies here.

Slugger,
Thanks for the info. will check out the SageAlert AND the SJQ forums..

Maybe if there was a framework sample available for doing this in SJQ would give me the "head start" to get this up and running, so I have more time to digest and learn more about SJQ interface language, via working with an example.

Thanks!
