Dscaler & FFDSHOW

Hi,

I have had success with setting up ffdshow and dscaler, except I can't work out how I get rid of the graph, shown on the video screen!

Am I just being silly? I can't find anything on this or the avs forum about getting rid of it!

Could someone please explain to me?

Thanks

Dan

If you want to continue running ffdshow, uncheck the box next to "Dscaler Filter". Otherwise change the decoder to something other than ffdshow, and make sure your video renderer isn't set to default.

Thanks, so Dscaler, is purely a tool for setup?

Maybe

The histogram filter (graph) is purely for setup. There are other Dscaler filters you can use for other purposes, denoise, sharpen, etc. If you've got an HDTV, then the linear correction filter might be of some interest. Of course most of the dScaler filters have a native ffdshow equivalent. But if all you have enabled in ffdshow is the Dscaler histogram filter, then yes, it's purely for setup.
