Newbie Dilemma

I have Comcast cable here in Santa Clara, CA with the cable going straight into the card, not using the cable company box.

Channel 2 looks ok. 3 - 14 are really bad, all the rest show black and grey wavy lines.

I had a similar problem, with all channels. I update the driver for my PVR250, and it worked fine.

and, just in case, make sure you are specifying cable and not antenna in SageTV setup

use the drivers from shspvr.com/forum
they are newer than the hauppauge ones or Frey ones and produce much better quality

Getting the new drivers did the trick! Also setting autotune=false helped a lot with quality of the picture. Thanx!
