upgraded to 2.1 and can't get anything to work really
Was working fine in 2.0 but when I just upgraded to 2.1 I lost all sound for watching livetv.
My Xvid files still get sound but I have lost livetv. configuration. XP1600 8rda 256mb of ram 1 PVR-250 Onboard sound I am currently uninstalling re-installing sagetv. edit-Uninstall reinstall worked. Stupid computers. Solve one problem and another one crops up now my clients can't connect to the server. to top it off even more I can't run sagetv as a service because I get a java run time error and yes I did uninstall and install the latest java client. At this moment in time this is what I think of 2.1 but hopefully this stuff is fixable. Last edited by AJ Bertelson; 11-05-2004 at 09:19 AM. |

I hear ya, one better. Last night I installed ver 2.1 over 2.0. Everything seemed fine. Today I come home to fine what seemed like a cable outage. Just a black screen, then a fuzzy without any sound. Weird thing was I had internet access. I hooked up the old TV to fine a perfect picture. ARRRRRRRRRGGGGG. I played around with things and still nothing. I just uninstall Sage and will attempt a fresh install.

Did you verify that the source is set to the tuner? After that I would try another decoder or change the DXVA settings. Thats assuming you are not using the pvr350. |

I would try updating the drivers either get the ones from hauppauge's website or shspvr.com/forum
you could try running wintv to see if you are getting reception |

Ok well after trying to revert back to 2.0 and getting a Java error I decided that I needed to start over. I uninstalled SageTV, Java, and the PVR-250. (I installed Win-TV just to verify the PVR-250 was working correctly).
I first installed Java, then the PVR-250 latest driver, and finally SageTV2.1. It worked!!! I've been running it for about 6 hours now without issue. Crossing my fingers. Eddie
