Direct Show problems

Hi all,

I just bought a pvr250 and sage. So far this has been a wonderful product. I am having two problems currently and was wondering if someone could point me in the right direction?

Sagetv- On loading I get the cant load direct show filters error. I didnt use to. The only thing I did was upgrade the hauppage drivers.

Sagetvclient - When I try and play files from my library, I get no video or audio for xvid, or divx. I have the codecs installed as if i play them with another app they work fine. ideas?

And one question... When sagetv runs on my server machine. Does it have to import the library file every single time? I have over 100 movies (my dvd's all ripped (no scratches from munchkins YEAH) and it takes quite a while to startup.

Thanks for the help.
Sam

BTW Specs. shuttle sn42g, pvr250, win2kpro

When you installed new drivers, did you follow the instructions on SHS's site? If not, go to the download section of his website, select PVR250/350 and scroll down to the bottom of that page. There are uninstall and install instructions there. I hope that helps.

Oh, here's the link to his site:

I think you have to install WinTV2k and possibly the decoder as well.

I think the new decoder is more important. Didn't one of the driver update not long ago say it "worked best" or "required" the new decoder.

Yeah, I'm not totally certain that WinTV2k is necessary still. The only reason I suggested it was because during the beta, it was recommended that you install it.

Gremlins! Either that or a "feature" of Micro$oft.
