Set Watched and Delete

Anyone know how I can combine these two menu items into one?

My wife and I have a MediaMVP in the master bedroom. We will frequently watch a Sage recorded show on the MediaMVP and then delete what we've watched the next morning.

It's a pain, though to have to select SET WATCHED (so it doesn't record the same program again) and then find DELETE.

Anyway to combine the two?

Stacy

Malore's custom recordigns screen has this setting.

Also, you could probably set your remote to execute two Sage commands.

Just map the Delete command to a button on the remote. If you're using the Original STV (for sure) the Delete command brings up a dialog asking "Set watched and delete", "Clear Watched and Delete", and a couple other things I can't remember right now.

Of course then there's the fact that if you get far enough into the show Sage marks it watched automatically, and also why not just let Sage manage your space?

They may not have dedicated space/HD for Sage; is that case I would agree, delete. Perhaps Sage should have some sort of "use less space" option, where it deletes watched shows sooner--maybe after 24 hours or even just an hour (not immediately, in case it marks watched wrongly), but definitely with a disable option for those who like it as it is.

Those are malore's additions & are in a few STVs, but not the original. In the original, Delete just asks to confirm that you want to delete the show.

There was a long discussion on that a long time ago... has this changed recently? The entire show isn't marked as watched unless you reach the end of the recording, unless it was changed & I missed it.

This is why I added the ability to use the watched command while watching a show (MalDude for 2.0 & MalDude2 for 2.1)-- so I could mark it as watched & then use the delete command, though I just remembered that I may be having a problem deleting a show while on the playback screen & usually hit Back first & use the delete button on my remote on the detailed info screen.

Guess I'll have to double check, I thought it was in the default 2.1 STV, but maybe I was using MalDude2 at the time

I don't know, I almost never watch anything all the way to the end, but Sage always marks them watched for me.

My issue is more the watching on the MediaMVP then having to "clean house" the next morning.

MediaMVP doesn't even allow you to delete a file, let alone interface with Sage to say I've watched the show.

I was just trying to save a few keystrokes.

Thanks,

Stacy

Have you looked at this thread: MVP Client available! Or, do you mean you've tried it but still have a problem?

Edit: also, you can access the Watched & Delete commands almost anywhere using the direct command assigned to a remote button when a show is highlighted. You don't have to use a menu item for those things.

I've added this functionality to the Cayars STV. I added it to the "normal" file details so it there with out having to do anything special.

Check it out and see if this is what you're looking for.
