usb-uirt + sagetv = "Pulling my hair out"

I just got my usb-uirt today. Im running sagetv 2.0 with a 250 card, dish network 322 reciever. Can someone please walk me through the setup of this. I am able to get video but not control the channel changing on the dish reciever. Do I use both remotes (Hauppauge and Dish)? Just the Hauppauge? Just the Dish? I have read, searched, copied files to no avail. Any help would be much appreciated. . Thanks

Did you select the USB-UIRT in the Setup Wizard when configuring your source? See page 97 of the 2.0 manual for details on the Setup Wizard configuration process.

That is covered in the manual too. When you select the USB-UIRT, you move on to Step 6 (p. 99 in the 2.0 manual). There, you either select your box or add a new one if yours isn't listed. As long as the USB-UIRT can learn from your box's remote, you continue through the various stages of step 6 to teach all the codes for the new device.

The manual for v2.0 is not included in the installation, as far as I know. If you don't have it, you can right click on the link to the PDF in my sig lines & download it. It is an 8MB PDF and has much more info than the setup PDF that comes with the 2.0 install.

Got it working. Once I put in repeatcount 10 it works great. A little slow but it works. Thanks for the tip on the manual.
