analog cable question
Which is better:
1) Split the coax coming out of the wall, one goes to my tv & the other goes to my tv tuner card. Then TV out from my video card to TV video in, and for audio, go line out from my sound card to l/r in on TV. 2) Go directly from the wall into my tv tuner card. Then TV out from my video card to TV video in, and for audio, go line out from my sound card to l/r in on TV. The pro to #1 is that I wouldn't be forced to use Sage to watch live TV, for whatever reason. Or is this a pro? The pro to #2 is that (all other things being equal) I would be using only one interface for my TV entertainment. |

I can't see one as being inherently better than the other, I'd probably split it though, no sense wasting the tuner on the TV. And just using the TV is handy for stuff like checking the weather channel.
