Unhappy Availability of PVR-150 (model 1045) in the US

Sounds pretty scare before Halloween... but I cannot find PVR-150 anywhere. I meen model 1045, not 150 MCE that is # 1042. Has it been around and is currently sold out or it has not hit US stores yet?

I just received a PVR-150 from Buy.com. It took them a week to fill the order, but it arrived on my doorstep before the email notification hit my mailbox. Cost was below any listed elsewhere...

http://www.pagecomputers.com/cgi-bin/page/M1477589.html

What are the differences between the models?

Also would I want to select the third one if I was building a sagetv server box?

The first one is the 'RETAIL' version (YES:IR BLASTER/NO:FM RADIO...)

The second one is the Low Profile version of the MCE VERSION (NO:IR BLASTER/ YES:FM RADIO...)

The third one is the 'Normal' version of the MCE Version (NO: IR BLASTER/YES: FM RADIO...)

I hope this helps...

BTW: I ordered mine on Sunday and it is got here this AM...

The first listing is for the RETAIL version of the PVR-150. It comes with a TV tuner/capture application and drivers for the standard version of Windows XP.

The second listing is for the Windows XP Media Center edition ONLY version of the PVR-150. In addition, this card is a low-profile version, so the card is made to fit in systems that cannot accept a full height add-on card. It is about half the physical height of a normal PCI/AGP add-on card.

The third listing is for the Windows XP Media Center edition ONLY version of the PVR-150. This is the normal, full-height standard version of the card. If comes with the Windows XP MCE drivers only and a rudimentary video capture application.

I believe that Sage has reported that it is working with the manufacturer on using these cards with Sage bundles (in fact, the latest beta version of sage, v2.1xxxx lists compatibility with these cards).

Which one did you get? Also, can you upload a screen capture of the "Sound, video game controllers" section of Device Manager after you get it installed and running? I'd also like to see this from anywone that has/gets a PVR-500 as well.

I am not certain if you meant this but just to clarify things. The MCE versions will work with Sagetv correct?

Support for the new tuners (150, 150MCE, 250MCE, and 500MCE) was supposedly added in SageTV v2.1.
