Error -8 when selecting a livetv guide program
and a recording is taking place. I no longer see the conflict manager message about changing channels. This is present in 2.1 RC5 and RC6
Any ideas? |

No one has any input on this? I guess I will submit it as another bug then.

remove the source and readd it
you may also try to reinstall the drivers for your TV card and make sure SAgeTV is not running |

Tried it. Though I did not try to reinstall the drivers for the 250 card. It seems that this error is somehow related to Sage itself and not a driver issue per se.

are you sure ?
have you tried using WinTV 2000? and finally you could try uninstalling SageTV backup the wiz bin and properties files and then delete the folder and reinstall after install run SageTV and see if you have the problem if not is it either the properties file or wiz bin issue |

Is there some setting in the properties file that will turn off/on the ability to change a channel once a recording has begun?
The error is basically telling me that I cannot change the channel while a a recording is taking place. I should copy the exact message down. If a pre-scheduled recording is NOT taking place then I can change the channel all I want without issues. Also, it appears that I can change the viewing to a program that is on my other 250 card without issue. It's just when its recording something on card #1 (or 2) and I want to watch something from the same source. Very strange. Also noticed tonight that when I try to power off the software it is capturing more then 1 power off IR command on the USB IRT. So it shuts sage off then right back on unless I move the controller real fast after it powers off. None of the other IR commands act this way, just the power off. Ughhh... |
