PVR250 problem - recordings have minor color offset/alignment problems

I've had this problem ever since I started using the pvr250, but just now I finally decided to ask about it.
My problem is that everything I record/watch has a color alignment problem. For example, say there is a red circle on the screen with a black outline around it. At the left edge of the circle the red doesn't go all the way to the outline and the right edge will show that the red is extending out past the black outline. Its like the red color is several pixels over to the right of the rest of the image.

Now, I have a workaround, I use ffdshow and use the offset filter and set the luma offset to some number to line the colors back up. But this is an awkward workaround as any other type of video I try to watch which runs through ffdshow ends up applying the offset as well, so I end up messing up the video which was perfectly fine.

Anyone else experience this problem, know what might be causing it, or know of any way to get around it? My source is a dish network receiver.

Have you checked your S-Video cable? If you aren't using one, have you tried?
