I have both and I prefer the USB-UIRT. The actisys had some trouble with my Dish Network remote. I downloaded a copy of HE Remote and it worked fine. However, the USB-UIRT has a jack for external ir blasters and support for 3 zones. This is why I find it superior. I have 3 dish network sat receivers and the USB-UIRT controls them all through sage.
