My SageTV think's I'm in Mountain Time!

My SageTV clock says it's 7 PM but my system clock says it's 8 PM, so shows that are on at 8 PM, come on at 7 PM in my LiveTV Guide. I have Daylight Savings turned on, and I'm in the correct timezone (Central).

I have even set "time_zone=GMT-6" in the sagetv.properties file..is that ok to do?

I have juggled around with turned on the SageTV server/clock sync in many different combinations, but nothing helps. I recently tried to sync my clock via time.microsoft.com but it gives me an error, though I have synced it before and it still didn't solve any thing.

can anyone help, I have been trying for several weeks now and I have looked through this forum but nothing seems to help.

My LiveTV guide thinks I'm in Mountain Time!

I'd just remove the time_zone setting from the properties file, if you have Windows set to the correct zone you shouldn't need to set it in the properties file.

It does not matter whether the setting is removed or not, I've tried both and it still is an hour off.

And since my clock thinks I'm an hour behind in Mountain Time, I can move my system clock to Eastern so maybe it will think I'm in Central right. So doing that will move my system clock an hour ahead, so now it'll show 11AM when it's 10AM here, but guess what, I go back into SageTV and it's says 9AM, 2 hours behind and still on Mountain time. I'm getting confused.

Make sure the computer (Windows) clock is set for your Time Zone and that it is also set to automatically adjust for Daylight Saving Time.

I think he means that he already did set & check the system time zone and it isn't having an effect... but it never hurts to check again.

You don't, by any chance, use a zip code for an EPG provider that is in another time zone, do you?

I live in Texas, my zip code is 77043, which is only for a small section of Houston. I'm using Time Warner Cable in that zip code. I just rechecked everything, Central Daylight, Daylight savings time is on, sage.properties file still indicates "time_zone=" which doesn't matter if I change it or not. I did a sync with time.windows.com and I have the SageTV server turned off.

I just reset my computer and SageTV and it still shows an hour behind.

for the record, i don't know what EPG stands for.

EPG = electronic program guide, or in other words the tv show listings. Not sure why things would be different in this version for the time if everything else is set correctly. Sorry, I don't know any other tips than what's already been mentioned so far.

I have the same problem. Windows is showing the correct time, but sage is an hour behind. I have set the time zone in the properties file and left it balnk. They both have the same result. I turned off auto-sync with the epg server. I have double checked the zip code. I don't know what else to do.
