as a quick fix to these two problems, you should be able to import my importable STV modules, which will replace the existing screens and link in the header bar correctly.
Obiously make the backups as suggested in the installation instructions and work on a copy of cayars' STV so that if it all goes wrong you can revert to the original

This does work.

However, you will need to make 2 changes to your menu.xml file to get these working.
Change the title screen property from "Imdb Search" to "ImdbSearch"
Change the title screen property from "Rss News Feeds by nielm" to "Rss News Feeds -- nielm"

Everything should then work correctly.
BTW, I've already made these changes to the next version of the STV.

It was originally in the Setup menu so I left it in the setup menu. The setup menu in my STV is under the main menu Utilities/Setup. In the upcoming "D" version I have also duplicated this entry on the Utilities/Setup menu itself. I figured it very easy to remove an "extra" entry even with a remote.

Just in case any of you don't know how to do this with the remote, hit the button you use for option (right mouse click) and select the "Remove Menu Item" from the options list. I myself do this on my main system to remove all the "Back" menu choices as I just use the left arrow.

I wouldn't say that his website is dead, but his web-host seems to be down (at least from where I am now, no route to host). Happens sometimes.

Ok. I have his STV. I just need a way to give it to someone. Gmail won't let me send it so I need someone to go on IM and accept it in a file transfer (or if someone has a better idea, let me know). Easiest way is to PM or email me with your info.

I know I said I'd be happy to host it if I had it but upon further inspection I have a feeling my monthly limit would be used up rather quickly. Plus I still don't have it anyways.

album art trouble

Hi,

im having a wierd problem with album art where some folder.jpg are showing up and others aren't, I have all my folder.jpg in my album folders, they where all previously showing when using a previous stv for v 2.0 the strange thing is that even when I change the libary image in the properties file to be something else other than folder.jpg they still show up even with a refresh, as soon as i change the jpg to the new name they disappear, although some don't show up no matter what the name? any ideas.

Cayars....

Have CR2 and wanted to point out a couple of things:

1. Under Media Library/Current Recordings, I get an error with the menu.xml that comes with your package. I had to edit it to make it work. It worked OK with bR3 but not with Cr2.

2. Under CR2, if I click with the mouse on the screen during playback, the OSB no longer appears, making it difficult to FF or REW or just see the OSD on a PC without a remote.

Thanks!

Stacy

WOW--somehow i missed it but you recently added DVD ripping functions?! That is awesome. I am still at work so I haven't tried it out yet but will ASAP. I have been waiting for this as well as CD ripping functions. Any chance of incorporating a CD Ripper too?
thanks
JUC
