An exception occured in Java Sageclient2.1.7RC4

I upgraded a client PC after upgrading the server and I am getting a Java error.

Windows 98SE

An Exception occured in Java:
java.lang.UnsatisfiedLinkError: C:\Program Files\Frey Technologies\SageTV\SageTVWin32.dll: A device attached to the system is not functioning.

Uninstalled SageTV Client and updated java and reinstalled Sage.TV client and get the same error.

I sent in a Bug submission to Frey.

Any ideas guys?

Mike

Per Sage support:

This has been fixed for the next build, 2.1.8. Let us know if you have any
problems with that one when it's available.

I got about the same JAVA error when trying to install it on my server under Win98SE. After sending in a bug report and a couple more e-mails they came up with a solution and send a similar response as you got... supposedly fixed in next release. Will have to just wait and see.

Still get that same JAVA error with both the server and client of SageTV v2.1.8RC5.

Also, the top of the error box says:

"Could not find JAR file"

Gonna send another bug report. Almost seems like they don't even bother testing in Win98 on their end, or how could they not be noticing this.

Still waiting for a reply from my bug report this time around. Since it's a weekend I don't expect to hear anything until at least Monday or Tuesday. Anyone else having problems with the beta releases should go to the beta download web pages and fill out the bug report form to make sure Frey is aware of the problems.
