PVR recording resolution question
The recording is saved to an MPEG-2 format. A couple of questions.
Is it possible to have the saved output saved to a smaller resolution like 300x300 or something. Second is it possible to view a recording while its being recorded. I've read about some trying to use ssh with the client, but running into some issues. In theory, with a decent upload connection you should be able to get the client to work with ssh redirecting the tunnel. I'm if the saved mpeg were of small enough resolution if you would be able to gain remote access via ssh. In theory rogers is offering 800kbs upload with there newer cable modems (assuming you could actually achive that, that would be enough upload bandwidth for something like 300x300 I think). I'm somewhat unfamiliar with all the technical facts on actually bandwidth requirements, but merely going on the fact that I can view 320x320 streamed media down at I think its 300kbps or 700kbs can't remember which. Any thoughts on this? |
