Talking Hauppauge PVR-150

I am just fooling around on the web and I have noticed PVR-150 MCEs showing up everywhere. They are quite affordable compared to their PVR-250 brethren. Anyone know the goods on these. It appears they are based on a Conexant chip. I could look up what the chip does but I rather hear from you guys. Anyone know how this card compares to the 250? Is the quality less or are they just saving money by buying from Conexant? I wanna build an HTPC with at least two tuners in the next few months. And if anyone knows anthing about the PVR-500...give up the goods.

Still didnt really see anything in the previous posts that really stated anything much about quality or compatibily. I can see it was being looked into. I can see that it "should" be the same quality. I just dont see anything from anyone who owns it yet. Just curious from someone who has tried it and tried the 250. Do we know anything about support yet? I know it was being tested by the developers. Anyone activly compared models? I appreciate the suggestion though. If there is a post I missed that directly addresses those....post it in here for me. I would love to know!

I think as soon as anyone has tried one, everyone will know about it.

My biggest problem in life is patience. I would love to be a programmer and create...but I dont have the patience. I would love to read a good book but I dont have the patience. To be honest, I work with computers for a living....and I do what I do instead of programming for that exact reason. I guess I will have to wait....but darn it! That sucks! I WANNA KNOW NOW!!!!!!!! (

Sure did...thats where I saw that the card is being tested for compatibility. No one bought one and posted their thoughts on the thread though. I am more interested in real world results and not the speculation. Sounds like a good card, but I want to see if in reality things are different than they are on white paper.

Maybe you missed this one... I think spanky was referring to this post of his. It sounds a bit like a user reporting results.
