New User, just installed SageTV, black screen...

The FAQ lists this:

Quote:
I get sound, but my Video is black.

You might not be using a supported capture card. Please check our System Requirements page.
Go to the display settings for your video card. You more than likely have the Overlay surface set to be on the monitor only, so video will show up as black on your TV.
Make sure you have a Video Decoder installed and selected in your Detailed Setup -> Video. Try a different Video Decoder. Also try uninstalling SageTV and deleting the Frey Technologies folder. Reinstall SageTV. In V2 you can also try disabling Overlay Color Keying.
I'm using a Hauppauge 250, so I know that is supported... The next thing says to check display settings on the video card (ATI 9500 Pro), and I can't find any setting for "Overlay". A more descriptive location would be nice As for Video Decoder, it is set at "Intervideo NonCSS Video Decoder for Hauppauge".

I'm currently running this in a windowed mode on my desktop PC, and will build a HTPC shortly, just wanted to play with it until I get the hardware in. I should note, WinTV displays fine.

Any advice for a rookie? Thanks

There is also a link to the updated driver at the bottom of the SageTV Customer Support page.
