With 2.1 - New Source found ATI Rage Theatre found

When I installed 2.1 beta I found an additional Capture Card in the Sage list.

ATI Rage Theatre.

This looks like being the composite/svid input on my ASUS 9600XT/TVD.

I always thought that this was not a full hardware encoder!

I don't see it in the hardware compatibility list.

I haven't tested it (reverted back to 2.0) since European PAL users have an issue with 2.1 not playing (BW distorted sound) through the composite ports.

Anyone tested it?

Actually, my ASUS 9600XT Rage Theater capture chip has shown in the list since before 2.1 beta release. However, not much you can or would want to do with it since it is not a hardware encoder, has no tuner, etc. It is just a capture device. I would be more interested if DScaler would ever work with the ATI chip for other purposes that I have and could use it for.

PS: If it does not show in your down rev'd version of Sage, you can manually add it to the list by using its "friendly name". It can be added in Sage.Properties just like ffdshow and nVidia VPP but for not much purpose I'm afraid.
