Unexpected UI Shutdown
I haven't tried running the sagetv service until RC4. I thought I would give it a shot. Installed RC4, setup the service using the service control panel, once the service was started I exited the panel and started sagetv. When the UI loaded it loaded with mlbdude2.stv which was funny because I was using my own custom stv. When I selected my stv it didn't load. I restarted the computer, let sagetv UI load, and the stv loaded correctly. However, the UI shutdown within a matter of seconds. The log showed that sagetv's ui shutdown nicely as if I gave it the command. Once I disabled the service the UI worked properly.

Did you have an existing SageClient.properties file? When running the service, the UI portion uses the client properties file. If there isn't one, it gets its basic setup from Sage.properties. So, maybe there is a problem with the client properties file -- try removing it?

mine started up with mlbdude's as well
then I changed the client and Sage properties after closing both service and client and put them back to default OriginalV2 instead of mlbdude2 also switching to other STVs wotks fine but you cannot switch back to 2.1 after that |
