HTPC no longer sleeps

Hi,

My HTPC has been performing great, sleeping, waking, sleeping until the last few days. Now it won't go to sleep. I changed my video directory to a UNC path, could this do it? Are there any programs out there that can tell you what is preventing sleep? Maybe I should sit a glass of warm milk next to it?

Thanks

When you use UNC Paths everytime a file is opened or queried it is considered a network access which resets the sleep timer. SageTV scans directories for changes every 5 minutes. With local paths accessing these files it does not reset the sleep timer. Not sure if there is a solution to this.

Okay. I switched from a local path to UNC so that the commercial detect program could run on my main computer instead of my HTPC. What if I map the video folder to a network share? Would that have the same problem? I'll try that tonight and see if that will work for running comm detect while still allowing my HTPC to sleep.
