Video Out Choices

First of all i'd like to say thankyou to everyone on this board for being patient with my questions.

Down to the finial choice... have the hard drive and tv capture card in the mail and now theres just the issue of video out.

I am using a rather old mainboard for this project, and that may give me an issue. This is the board in question.
This most probably (certainly?) has no directx9 overlay support. I also understand scanline vga->svideo output is better looking.
Im just wondering would it be better for me to get the pci version of this FX5200, or would using something like this look that much nicer?

Any comments would be appreciated
