Exclamation Leadtek Winfast PVR2000 Drivers for Sage

Looks like my Conexant cards I have are actually Leadtek PVR2000's. They aren't officially supported by Sage (in fact, if you use the Leadtek drivers, it WON'T work with Sage). BUT, I have generic Conexant drivers that work with the PVR2000, and more importantly, DO work with SageTV/Recorder . I've stuck them on my work webserver, so if you have a PVR2000, give these drivers a try, they work for me (2 of them, plus an Adaptec on one machine, and 1 & a 250 in another).

Here's the link: http://204.214.6.2/private/ConexantBB2.1.54.0.zip

Let me know if you have trouble downloading...

heffe2001,

what is your experience with this card, quality and reliability wise with Sage?
Compared to your PVR250.

Thanks

Emaayan: When I had the Leadtek drivers installed, it was a no-go with Sage at all. I eventually reformatted to get a completely clean setup, after that, with these drivers, it worked great. I don't think you can record directly to divx, but you can convert a recorded mpeg to divx pretty easily. For hardware divx support you need one of those new USB capture devices that are now supported in Sage 2.1.

Lucas: I've had no problems with the Leadtek's, and since I started using the comp in on the 250, I've had no problems with it either (the tuner seems to be going out on the 250, everything looks scrambled).

I had some recordings over the weekend that looks like the channel wasn't tuned completely correctly, but I'm not sure which tuner did the capture (how do you check anyway, the log file, or is there something in the mpeg that tells?). Most of my issues with any of my tuners though is getting them running being network encoders...

In the recording details (towards the end) you will find the recording quality and the capture device it was recorded with.

heffe2001,

Are these the latest Conexant drivers? I see that your original post was made back at the beginning of October & was wondering if there has been an update since then.

I wanted to try out SageTV with my Leadtek PVR2000 card, but Sage doesn't recognize the card, even though the card works fine outside of Sage. Did you notice any other differences in functionality when you switched over from the Leadtek driver?

Thanks,
jawgee
