Awesome.

I take it from the release notes that Streamzap remote support did not make it for v1.3? No big deal, gives me an excuse really figure out Girder (since it has a plugin for the remote).

You are correct, the streamzap support didn't make it in. We will try to figure it out for v1.4.

No problem! Keep up the good work, I'm sure it isn't real high on the priority list anyway as not that many people have it.

Do I have to uninstall the previous version, or can I just run the installer and install on top of the old version?

You can run the installer on top of the old version. You also need to be running the same version of the Client and the Server.

I looked at the release notes but I saw no mention of this:

Was the .mpg import issue addressed in this release? If not, has any progress been made? Thanks in advance .

All .mpg import issues that were previously discussed were resolved for 1.3.8. If you're still having problems, then it's more than likely due to having a bad demultiplexor installed on your system from another piece of software (Elecard and ULead are two that have caused problems for people).

Love the new release. One weird thing though, when the install finished it failed to load the documentation. Acrobat started and then said unable to find file, no such file exists. In a manual search with a file explorer, I could not find the documentation either. No Biggy.

I do a have a feature request and two questions:

Feature request:Could you add an option to the properties file to allow SageTV to be minimized to the system tray rather than exitting when you click on the X(close window button)?
I don't know how many times I've accidently closed Sage when I really just meant to put it to sleep.

Question1:My mouse pointer never dissappears when I'm watching TV ot a recorded show. It does however dissappear(after mouse inactive) when I'm in the UI. I have tried diffenent Codecs and it doesn't make any difference. Is this the normal behavior, or does my sytem have some weird bug?

Question2:Out of curiousity. Why is this version so much larger than than the previous release, or even the most recent beta?

Keep up the awesome work. It's like a little gift every time there is a new version to download.

I can't import any files that SageTV records. I can paste them from the Video folder to an import folder (without modifying them in any way) and they will not show up in my library. I can import .avi and .mp3 files without any problems. I had Ulead DVD Workshop installed and I uninstalled it. Any idea why this would still be giving me a problem? Let me know if you want log files.

Is there any other software I could remove (perhaps some other program is conflicting) or something else I could try? Is anyone else completely unable to import the .mpg files that SageTV records?

Search your entire hard drive for all .ax files. Then post the list here, I'll tell you which one is the offending filter and how to remove it.

(the latest version is larger because the manual got a lot bigger)

Thanks,

How is the client licensed? Do I have to apply the license to the client at install time, or is it a seat licensing model where the license would be installed on the server?

Also, my installation of SageTV just somehow got corrupted again. It wouldn't remember scheduled recordings after restart and the music library hanging issues returned. I am reinstalling as I write this (that fixed this problem last time) .

There's probably a corrupted registry entry somewhere for a demux that isn't on the system anymore. I don't see any non-MS demuxes in that list.

Using GraphEdit, you can look at the list of DirectShow filters and see if any are specified on there that say MPEG2 Demux or (elecard demux or ulead demux). There might be one specified but who's file doesn't exist.

Okay, I downloaded Graphedit, ran the exe, selected "graph" ----> "insert filters" --->and then selected "DirectShow Filters." In the resulting list I see one entry for "Mpeg-2 Demultiplexer." Is this a problem? I see no entries for Ulead. Am I looking in the correct place?

[EDIT] I also see an entry for "DV Muxer" if that means anything.

That entries OK. Here's something else to try. Using GraphEdit, select File->Render File. Then select one of the files you're trying to import. Post a screen shot of the graph that it creates.
