SageTV controling Sky Digibox via serial?

SageTV controling Sky Digibox via serial?

Hi there.

How is this done?
When I first set up my sagetv box last week, I connected it to my sky digital receiver with a serial cable I had lying around but didn't expect it to work - but it did!
I could tap numbers into my PVR250 remote and the sky would obediently change to that channel.

Trouble is, now I've set sage up properly with channels and listings etc (with much help from this forum btw) but the serial connection no longer seems to work.

What's gone wrong? has anyone else managed to get sagetv talking to their sky digibox via a serial lead?
