OK, I got it running. Took me a while to find the beta of MLBdude's stv but once I did I got the functionallity of data_dump.
But the problem is, my UI is not full screen. I am running NTSC? What can I change if everyone else's is full screen? |

I've been playing around with my menu problem and it seems when I watch a Sage recoded show, and press the Back/Exit button on the the remote, my server's CPU goes to 100%, and and then drops back down to about 30%, but the show keeps on playing. Has anyone else seen this problem?

I'm at work right now so I won't be able to do it till this evening. What is happening is, the UI with the menus, IE: Recorded shows, Pictures, etc. The blue background isn't the full size of my tv. My TV is only a 29" NTSC television. The whole UI has about a 2-3" black border all the way around it. The video plays perfectly, full screen. Just the UI has that 2-3" black surrounding border?

New additions?
I want to get some feedback from folks...
We can control Sage via the sendmessage commands... http://forums.freytechnologies.com/f...2628#post42628 and http://forums.freytechnologies.com/f...&threadid=5253 and http://www.freytechnologies.com/2_pa...wsMessages.txt In addition to this, with a small addition, we can have the html files run programs on the host machine with this... http://www.shspvr.com/forum/viewtopic.php?t=4941 With some care, we can merge the two issues and come up with some sort of control for Sage. While this is good for actually sending commands to Sage, it doesn't do any good as far as getting the info to the actual MVP. What I am looking for is some feedback on how to accomplish viewing/utilizing the data from within Sage without having access to the wiz.bin file and the data within it. With the data dump(s) we have access to current_rec.xml (the file(s) CURRENTLY being recorded), recordings.xml (the info on the files that HAVE BEEN recorded), and the straight line text file schedule.txt (the files that are GOING TO BE recorded). Without any sort of data dump for the actual epg info, there is no way (without resorting to a standalone xmltv or zap2it data direct installation) to implement an EPG on the MVP... If we go with an 'external' epg info source, the problem is 'how' to send that info back INTO Sage with any reasonable degree... In short, I am just looking for ideas on how to best go forward with the Sage integration... -Jason |

Wait for the web interface ?(exists somewhere in my sage dreams..). Anything would be possible after that comes out right?
Sorry, All my other ideas are extremely ghetto and are probably not worth consideration for a long term solution. I. Quote:

Jason,
One more thing. I thumbed around with the MVP for only a few minutes last night, but found a couple behaviors that I thoght I should share. bug: when fast forwarding, if I am to hit fast forward again, then play; the playback will get all jacked up. Basically it will try to play in viewable speed, but every second or so, it will attempt to fast forward again(some kind of loop). Only thing that could fix it is to hit stop and open the file agian. I was able to reproduce this 2 more times, from the same set of actions. intuative enhancement? when playing a recorded file, I intuatively want to hit "menu" (to go back to menu Obviously!). But no go. I believe "stop" is the only option at this point. Is this because this is the playback behavior of the MVP app, and your tapping into it, or just because thats the way that someone wrote it? Just curious I.

I will try the update tonight as well and see if it works. Thanks for the update Jason.
If we are doing feature requests one thing I would love to see is the same timeshifting mapped to the same buttons as sage does nativly. IE: Fast Fwd time shifts 10 seconds, and Skip time shifts 2 minutes and 30 seconds. That would be great if this was implemented, although I'm not sure if it is even possible based on the nature of the beast? Please let me know. Thanks again Jason. |

I uninstalled Haupauge's MVP software reinstalled it, and I tried that new media.html file you released. After I copied over that media.html file It looks like it starts bigger but then gets resized to the 2-3inch black border. When it starts and it looks bigger it is still not full screen, but close.
