audio not synched
I have run into a synch problem with Sage recorder. When I record a long show (ie. 2hrs), during playback the audio starts to lag after video. This starts about 40 min. into the file, and becomes more pronounced as the show progresses.
I am runnin a 900Mhz AMD, 512Mb RAM, 80gig HD @ 7200rpms. and WinPVR 250 Is it possible that my transfer rate to the HD is not fast enough? |

It happens both in WinTV and Sage recorder, with a minor difference. It is not as bad in Sage recorder. As a matter of fact I could live with it, except when I am making DVDs from my home movies.
It does not matter what I record from. Although when recording from VHS I have been keeping the files to under 30 minutes. This way I can avoid the problem. |

I had great sound sync until I installed the Elecard MPEG-2 decoder and the DeScaler software.
Uninstall them and exit SageTV. Next, run DVDGenie (a freeware DVD tweak program), go to the PowerDVD tab, hit More Options, and then Register Filters. After that, restart SageTV and the sync should be much better. Before I fixed mine, the sound would go out of sync very gradually. Now, it is out-of-sync slightly when a new channel is changed, but then goes back into sync after a few seconds or by rewinding and then fast forwarding. Lauren |
