XMLTV Problems

Hello there, i was wondering if anyone out there could let me know why I cant seem to get my xmltv data to come up in Sage.

Heres my spec, P4 2.4, 384RAM, PVR250, Geforce4MX. Sage 2.0, Broadband connection.

I am trying to set this up to receive UK channels.

I have tried several attempts with epgdata.xml files which I have downloaded from several sources. When I go to the setup wizard in Sage and select my source for the Hauppapge 250 I do have the XML plugin installed and it asks me to configure the XMLTV lineup. But when I select this it appears to just hang on the screen displaying "please wait while the channel line up is downloaded for XMLTV lineup.

I have looked at several forums but no clues as to why I can not display the listings xml file. Does anyone know of a reliable source for TV listings? The last I knew the radio times have stopped people downloading from their host?

Any advise would be great on this as I've spent nearly 2 days now trying to get a UK listings guide into Sage.

OK, I've managed to figure out why the EPG data was not being listed. I installed another plugin for XMLTV and this is now pulling the info from my ecpdata file. woohoo!!

All I need now is an up to date source for UK listings to download which is up to about a weeks listings

Anyone?

Download the latest alpha version XMLTV here : alpha xmltv .

Then follow the instuctions in the current active thread about the UK-RT grabber not working.

The new UK grabber is tv_grab_uk_bleb which gives 5-6 days of data.

Me too ...

I'm having the same problem.

I've managed to get XMLTV to appear as a listings provider but when I select it, it just sits on "please wait" (and I have waited for a considerable time).
Trouble is that there doesn't seem to be any kind of error log - there's no indication what is going wrong.

Does anyone know what the alternative plugin is that duchard is talking about?

Also, someone (somewhere) mentioned a plugin tester, anyone know what that is?

Cheers ...
