Old problem showing up daily..SLOW MOTION..
I read this here before but could not find the post.
I have XP HOME, SP1, and am running the latest build of SAGE 2.0. At least ONCE a day now, during PAUSE or FF or RR or some other VIDEO SEARCH use, I get the program to "HICKUP" and start to run REAL SLOW. If I let it go, SAGE crashes and I need to restart it. Restarting usual fixes the problem. Sometimes I can put sage to sleep, count to 10 and "wakeup" sage and it will start to work. Sometimes after waking up SAGE, the video takes off and goes in FF MOTION! for about 3 seconds then it locks up and I get the screen telling me to report it to microsoft, I click no, and sage is SHUT DOWN. Sometimes it will lock up for NO REASON that I can see. Are these problems associated with other PVR's such as TIVO as well? Or is their attitude that Software based PVR's are prone to HIGH MAINTENANCE valid? I've always said no, but have changed NOTHING in my setup for this to be happening now. Any pointers?

these are decoder issues
I would suggest changing your audio decoder if it is nvDVD othrwise look into a different decoder and set video window to if active and the video will not have these issues at start up |
