Grounding My Stereo

Howdy,

I could use some help. My subwoofer gives me a low wah-wah-wah coming out of it even though nothing else is on.

I'm pretty sure this is due to a ground issue. This sound comes and goes, and it comes or goes only when I disconnect/reconnect the cable to the cable box/PC. This first happened one time when I disconnected the coax from the cable box and was about to hook it up to a PC. Then I heard the sound. Undoing what I've done only sometimes will cause the sound to come/go.

As a side note....in another room of my house, I can actually feel the electricity in the coax if I put myself between it and one of the PCs. I will quite often end up shocking myself when I reconnect coax cables in that room. That's worried me a few times. It's been about a month since it's shocked me though....

The stereo receiver (Denon) has an AM antenna connector with one of the poles labeled ground. The AC plug is only 2 pronged. The subwoofer is Paradigm and its AC plug is also 2 pronged. The subwoofer doesn't have a grounding post. The receiver is connected to the subwoofer via a 25 foot cable I made.

I'm thinking if I ground the receiver to its AC outlet (house ground) then I should solve the problem. Any thoughts?

And I've had this stereo for about 8 years now. Never an issue before. Gotta love high quality solid state electronics. They last forever.

1: If 2wire plug device sometime just run a 1 wire to ground to device all need some 16gauge wire and pair of U lug clamp on each end of wire one to you device the other end need face plate sw
2: Simply add a ground breaker (AKA Ground Loop Isolator) between the speaker system and the sound source.

So I should do both? Or is it a one or the other thing?

Any recommendations on Group Loop Isolators, or are they all pretty much the same?

I try the Chassis Ground first 7x out 10x it work but if it dosen't work then have few other option here to look at.
