I never found a solution other than to remove SP2, but you usually don't need to reinstall Windows. In my case, I just did a rollback from the Control Panel.

I have the same stutter/shake problem as everyone else. Happens with Sonic or new Nvidia 4 decoders using vmr or overlay (overlay is a little better).
On another post, opus4 mentions that 2.2.2 beta is designed to solve the "new" directx 9.0c that ships with xpsp2. I am going to try that route... |

Please let us know how it goes. Sage has gone way down on the WAF lately, so I'm leary of making any changes.

Well, the new beta 2.2.2 is worlds better, so I would recommend it. I do observe that the screen stutter only goes away when using the "Default MPEG" audio decoders, but that has always been the case on this machine. We do get the FF bug, though.
And FWIW, on another thread, Wheemer mentions a new quartz.dll from m$ that fixes the problem. |

Yeah I jumping to conclusions I believe
but using the nvVPP or configuring Dscaler 5 for YV12 will fix this issue I am actually getting smoother and better look PQ from using NvVPP anyways so sticking with it and not running service here |

Backrevving the quartz.dll did the trick for me!
