Yet another SP2 thread
Hi, i know there are other threads about sp2, but currently sage tv works with it for me. Although the quality has become grainier even with updated drivers for my video card (ati 9600xt). It still burns to dvd in excellent quality, so i am not to concerned with it being grainy. It is fine from a distance but my remote does not work anymore.
My problem is that my remote control does not work anymore. I have the hauppage wintv 250-pvr retail version. I have reinstalled the drivers, reinstalled windows and i still do not have the remote functionality. Is anyone else having this problem and what did you do to fix this? I have contacted hauppage about it, but i am still waiting on a reply. Has sp2 messed with the ir settings on the remote? -Thanks p.s. sage has made tv really addicting...hehe |

Do you mean the remote doesn't work at all, or just doesn't work with SageTV? After installing the Hauppauge IR software, you have to configure its irremote.ini file (in your Windows directory) to work with SageTV. You can see the sample ini file in link #1 in my sig lines -- see post #3 of that thread.
Is that it? - Andy

Whooops. I completely forgot about Hauppages tv program. I tried it with itunes, but it didnt work then. I installed wintv2000 and it worked fine. I guess you are right about the .ini being messed up.
Thanks for the help Opus. tdalton: yeah, my computer seems to run a little bit slower now, particularly when multitasking. I bet the next few updates will fix it. |
