I've have been running Sage with a New PVR350 for 2 days now, this would be the third day and today I have now video/audio at all. It was working fine last night. Came back this afternoon and no video input. I did get one show recorded early in the afternoon and now nothing. I've checked the cable going to the card and it is working fine. I restored my system thinking it something wiih my OS and still no source. I installed another HTPC program to see if the card is working and its not the card. the other program pulled up my channels with no problem. That leads me to believe its something with SAGETV now. Anybody have Ideas?

Check your properties file and make sure your 350 isn't listed on the ignore encoders line.

how could it change without anybody at the system. it recorded fine at noon and by 6pm no video. where is the properties file and how do I check it?

The properties file is found in your SageTV directory (usually C:/Program Files/Frey Technologies/SageTV/sage.properties). I don't know what would have caused it to end up there, but usually when a supported card can't be found it got added to that.

In short what causes sage to put it there is if it finds the card, but is unable to use it for some reason (usually on startup, like if you don't have drivers installed).

I made a few assumptions with that response, I should probably make sure I understand what's going on:

You're saying that the 350 is no longer configured as a source? ie if you go into Setup Wizard it's not listed?

The 350 is in configuration as source. It was working fine and was able to record a show in the early afternoon and when I went to watch the show, I noticed Live feed wasn't showing anything. Nobody touches my system except for me and I wasn't around until the early evening and that when I noticed the problem. Here is my sage.properties.

After I noticed the problem I did do a CLEAN install of my OS and SageTV so anything that was wrong in the first place should have been cleared out but its still having problems.

I rebuilt the system again and still no signal from the card. Its not the card that wrong. I installed BeyondTV to see if card still works and it does get the signal. I just don't know what the problem is here.

Have you tried removing/re-adding the source and/or deleting your properties file?

I haven't tried to remove/re-adding the source. You would think that after completely reinstalled the OS and software that it would work. As for deleting the properties file, you just do that within windows or within Sage?

Yeah, I wasn't sure how far you went.

If you delete the properties file, just close Sage (completely) then delete the file.

So you say it works in BTV but not Sage? Odd, you may want to fill out a Support Request.
