Standby/Hibernate not working

Really not a SageTv question but I though someone might be able to help. All of a sudden I have lost the ability to enter the Standby/Hibernate state even when I try it manually. It was working up until yesterday . Is their any way I can check to see if something is preventing it from going into standby.

Sorry for the of topic question.

Yes, check the windows event logs. Right click on my computer and choose manage. There are 3 logs there. It will be either in Application or System. Look a red circle with a white x . Thats and error message. Open it and it will tell you whats causing the problem. Have you tried just rebooting? I had a problem with an old Nvidia driver that would cause this. After rebooting it was fine.
