Data Backup
I'm reinstalling the OS on my HTPC and wiping out the old OS partition (but not saved shows, on another partition obviously). Sage is installed on my OS partition and I was wondering exactly which files I need to back up in order to save the EPG data on saved shows and configuration data (like favorites)?

This could be similar to moving to a new PC, since it is a completely new install. See the last Q in this FAQ entry for some further information beyond just saving those 2 files. Even if the video dir locations don't change, you may need to pay attention to the property to make all mediafiles local, if the computer name is different on the new OS install.
And, I would definitely save the backup versions of those 2 files, just in case the originals are currupt for some reason. - Andy
