switching sound output while sage running

I have two sound outputs on my system. #1 built into my motherboard and #2 is a USB M-Audio Tranist to exend an SPDIF from my system in the garage to my stereo receiver.

All is working well.

Now, I want to be able to switch and watch TV on the monitor with audio #1 in the garage or on my TV with audio #2.

If I change default audio devices while Sage is running Sage will not begin using the new choice until i exit the applicaiton entirely. I would rather not exist Sage while it may be recording.

thanks for the help

Where are changing the audio settings for playback? In SageTV -- Setup -> Detailed Setup -> Audio tab? Try going to the Video tab and select Reload Media Player.
