XP pro + Client + MCE Remote/receiver + Girder??
Tried setting up my MCE remote/Girder using Client and it won’t work (using the remote in Sage TGB brings up Start panel, no play, pause, RW, FF etc except in WMP which indeed works).
So far on my Client box I’ve installed Girder, downloaded/enabled MCE plugin, enabled sendmessage plugin, copied gml file from my MCE/Sage box which works. Anything different for Client setup or am I just missing something w/setting up Girder? Frustrating b/c my prior Girder setup works fine on my MCE box (now running Sage) once I disabled ehtray.exe as required -- is there something similar that needs to be disabled on XP Pro too? I’ve poked around here and the Girder forum but I can’t figure it out. It seems soooo basic… Any ideas? |

You'll need to change the target for use with Sage Client. IIRC, you need to change SageApp to SageClientApp. Just right click on the folder containing your sage commands and select Set Group Targets.

Ugh, I right-clicked but not sure what to next... Girder newbie here.
Will this prevent XP from responding too (bringing up the start panel when I press TGB)? Seems to me that I need to disable something in XP too like I did for my MCE box. |

I don't really know anything about the MCE remote, but I do know that SageClient has a different target.
OK, so you right click (in girder) on the folder containing your sage commands, then select set group targets, and change SageApp to SageClientApp. Or if you don't have anything special setup in that GML just go to the sage-community website (link in my signature) and download the Sageclient GML. |
