HDD Spindown

Is this likely to cause any problems with SageTV (if Sage lets it spin down and isnt constantly accessing)? What would be a sensible amount of time to allow before spindown occurs?

I would strongly suggest that you not do this. I did this on my computer and the wake up time for the drive is too long and it impacts other drives on the IDE channel. So even if the drive spinning up or down is not the one being used it will interrupt the other drives. So if c: is system and it spins down while d: is recording something then d: may not record correctly and drop frames.
