Firefly Remote Question

I've seen people *rave* about snapstreams Firefly remote.
Having just moved all my tuners to a standalone sage server, I find myself having trouble changing channels on my client box (the remote was to PVR250s)
My question is, does the firefox remote and it's software do anything funky to sage, or does it just control the sage tv app in a *normal* way.

The firefly software controls sagetv by sending keystrokes. I had problems with the RF range on the firefly's receiver until I plugged it into an external usb hub. Most likely, your onboard usb plug isn't giving the receiver enough "juice." Also if you don't like the idea of sending keystrokes to sage you can always look into using Girder and send sagetv windows messages instead.

Any particular issue with sending keystrokes or it just not the norm?

It seems that sagetv's primary way of control is by using the keyboard, so you shouldn't have any problems with using the firefly in that manner.
