Question SageTV, BTV, Firefly & Girder - Do they all work together?

I am building a new system and want Sage as the front end. In looking around, I have seen the Firefly remote and I believe that I will go with it.

I have the PVR-250mce card

In reading about the Firefly, it appears that it requires that BTV be running as well. Does Firefly run BTV and does BTV run Sage? How does Girder fit in?

Is there anyone using a similar setup? Ultimately, I would like to run Sage as the front end with the Firefly remote. I realize that some remote programming will be involved and I am ok with that.

Thanks

I use both FF and Sage and they work fine. If you use girder v3.31b or newer and the FF girder file you have no need for Beyond Media Basic (BMB) (not BTV) so you can then just install the FF drivers. If you don’t (like me - I have the free version of girder) you need to install BMB which includes the drivers. SEE HERE for more info.

I can post my sage FF file (essentially what SHS posted awhile back) and my global file (makes the FF button start sage) if that helps but for the most part Sage is supported out of the box.

One thing I have not quite mastered yet is going directly to TV, Music etc when Sage is sleeping. When I use the Windows Messages it won't work until Sage is awake.
