PVR350 Audio Sync
I still have a problem with the audio sync from my PVR 350. I use the TV-out of the 350 along with the audio-out from the 350 also, via the SCART output lead.
The audio seems to consistently be a "bit" ahead of the video, about 0.1s or so I'm guessing. Changing the "audio delay" in Sage does nothing (this only affects soundcard-decoded audio, right?) One possibility is that somehow the recordings have the delay in them ie the delay is occurring at record time rather than playback time, however if I play back with software decoding & use the soundcard output it seems to be in sync. So - I currently believe the sync problem to be somewhere in the TV/audio-out of the 350 and it's hardware decoding. I had the same problem when I was playing with GBPVR so I don't think it's Sage-related. My "tv record" partition was NTFS formatted with the default blocksize, not 64k, is it that likely to help with this problem if I changed to 64k? It's not fragmented appreciably, and I'd expect stuttering/skipping audio rather than a constant 0.1s delay anyway if that was the problem, right? Anyone else have this problem? Any ideas for things I could change? I'm running the latest non-beta drivers (from Hauppauge's site). This is my last "big" problem with my PVR and it's driving me mad... Cheers Barnaby |
