PC suspends while browsing EPG with remote

Often my PC goes into standby while i am browsing through the EPG or Upcoming movies using the remote. The only way to prevent it is to have a media file playing in the background. Is there a way to make remote clicks prevent the pc from suspending ?

Yes, I use girders "monitor on" for all events. Also, you can increase the amount of time before it goes into standby.

And, perhaps try this property:

ui/disable_screen_saver_and_pm - true/false, will turn off system screen saver and power management when SageTV is in use if true

I don't use girder and i can't increase the time.

Will try Opus4's suggestion.
